HI! I'm new.
I was reading an artical and found it intresting. Thought I'd share with anyone who still comes here.
To summerize:

Walkers who take fish oil supplements burn more fat, especially from their bellies.

Omega-3 fatyt acids in the suppliments become "flammable" durring exercise, ignighting fat-burning enzymes. A high-tech X-ray device showed that abdominak fat is particularly vulnerable to this enzyme action.

Walk about 45 minutes a day after taking a 2,000mg suppliment.

Walking a 20 minute mile is better then a 12 minute mile, it burns more calories.
The key is durration and consistancy - not intensity.

it also helps to reduce appatite.

goal- 290 minutes a week, split it up however you want, just tr to get that ammount of time in. (only 10 minutes short of 5 hours a week!)

walk listing to upbeat music helps keep you pumped and motivated not to mention distracted from the workout. :)

I haven't been good at keeping up with this...but I really want to loose the weight (really, it's more that I want to loose inches, and be more healthy...) so I'm going to really try to get with this everyday.

What's more, is that I have not been doing very well with my exercising...I've been skipping days here and there...and I really don't want to do that...

So I think I'm going to try a new diet. The Special K diet I guess...only with Life cereal instead. They say replace two meals with two bowls a day. So that's what I'm going to do. And it's hard for me to resist eating out, but I'm going to have to. I'll try to limit myself to once a week. I think I can pull that off, if I just make myself do it.

Today I had a slice of hamberger pizza at work, and I had a sandwich that I made for myself at home. Didn't eat much today...I think I caught my daughter's cold...so I haven't been too hungry.

I worked out with DDR for about an hour today. Met my daily goal. I will post tomorrow. I have to.

I thought I'd start this thing out.

Today I didn't eat breakfast. Just didn't feel like it. I had a gyro and some fries for lunch. Then for dinner I had some stir fry that I made. It had some fresh chicken, onion, carrots, and celery in it. I'm thinking about having an orange for desert.

Then for exercising...I just bought Dance Dance Revolution for the PS2, and it has a workout mode. It works really well at getting my heart rate up. It even has a "calories burned" display. I don't know how accurate it is...but I sure wear myself out doing it. I played for about an hour to an hour and a half today.

This is the first post to the community.

I'm hoping that people might come here to share how they keep motivated in diet and exercise. I hope that we can inspire each other to keep going.

I'll be using this community to keep track of what I eat/drink/exercise daily. I'm hoping that this will help keep me from taking in too much food, and keep me exercising every day.
